Intro-Act is a work created for the 1995 Lyon Biennale by Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau, two pioneers of interactivity. In a room, the visitor sees his or her image projected on a screen. Each of his gestures generates constellations of shapes which surround him, gradually saturating the screen.

This painting shows the other side of the entertainment city against the backdrop of a sunset. Its format is reminiscent of a cinema screen as well as a billboard. This is the most loaned work in our collection!

Since 1995, the Musée d'art contemporain de Lyon has been located at the Cité Internationale, in an exceptional setting on the edge of the Parc de la Tête d'Or (Lyon 6th) and in a building designed by the architect Renzo Piano.

The Lyon Museum of Contemporary Art is located at the Cité Internationale, Lyon 6e.
It is very easily accessible by bus (lines C1, C4 and C5), bicycle (cycle paths along the quays and the Parc Tête d'Or) or car (three carparks along the quai Charles de Gaulle).
